It's time to celebrate our beloved MUT's being open with a bash in the Sam Houston National Forest. If you've been keeping up with the status of the Multi-Use Trails (MUTs) as of late, then you know they are temporarily closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. As the Sam Houston Trails Coalition (SHTC) works to reopen them, TRH is heavily involved in the planning and execution of this event. The SHTC has made great strides in working with the forestry service, and they are supremely confident that a portion of the trail will be temporarily opened, so that we may have this event.
Though we understand under normal circumstances, riders can go to the SHNF whenever they want, the point of this event is to simply gather the community for some good times and good company.
This event will take place at the Kelly's Pond Trailhead beginning on Friday, November 3rd and lasting through Sunday, November 5th. There will be camping, riding clinics, movie nights, day rides, night rides, fishing and campfire stories. So please, come on out and lets have some fun. The flyer for this even can be found here.
